Petition to: Keep Granicus City's park and open spaces free of car parking fees

Granicus City Council are proposing that car parking will become chargeable at Ockendon Recreation Ground and at three other venues, seven days per week and with a £6.50 maximum daily charge. We feel that this is an unfair burden, especially on repeat visits, such as members of sports teams, who are already paying a high cost for using, and even self-maintaining, the facilities. Thurrock Council should not be penalising those who visit our public parks and recreation grounds.
